In the spirit of Xmas
About time I sat down to write another blog entry. A fair bit has happened in the past few weeks, an it will be good to write a blog entry that actually has some content (after half a dozen failed attempts of creating blog entries in Picasa).
Firstly, Xmas (not Christmas) is tomorrow. Doing the usual family present unwrapping etc and lunch. More importantly however, only 5 sleeps until we head overseas. I can't wait! Still have to pack, get travel money organised, as well as other odds and ends to tie up before I leave.
Last night was my last night at Strike. Besides the fact that 3 lanes snapped important parts (sweep on Lane 1 and cushion on Lanes 5 and 7) it was a good night. Very relaxed, and heaps of Strike people made the effort to come in and have a few drinks. The party continued into the morning at Union Jacks and Sunbar.
It was also my last week at CSIRO this week. Last day at QCAT was Monday, and I attended the going-away lunch for Michael which turned into xmas drinks at the Kenmore Tavern.
I will finish this post off with my first photo of hopefully many to come. It is a photo of me taken by Dad at King's Canyon in the Australian outback.
